- To register an account with Japan World's JPAL service you will be requested to provide personal information that will allow Japan World to verify your age and contact information. Your personal information will be stored in a password-protected database that is not accessible to the public. Your contact information may be used by Japan World to contact you regarding payment of fees for services used and service information.
Username and Password
- The Username and Password to your account will be stored on a password-protected database that is not accessible to the public. Your password will be re-issued to you in the event that you have requested it by selecting ‘Lost Password’ in the Login area. Japan World will not release your Username and Password without verification of your identity.
Emails

Communication between members at Japan World's JPAL service requires the use of emails. The email address of a member will not be displayed to any registered member. Japan World may also use a registered members email address to contact that member regarding information about their account.

Japan Worlds JPAL service uses cookies to provide a more efficient and personalised experience whilst using Japan World's JPAL service. Japan World's JPAL service utilises mostly ‘session cookies’ which are small packets of information that are stored on your computer to help our system remember such things like, who you are and some of your JPAL settings. An example of ‘session cookies’ is when you jump to a new page on JPAL your computer lets our system know that you are already successfully logged on and not to ask for login information. Login ‘Session Cookies’ are set to expire 12 hours after you have left the JPAL service.
User Access Statistics
- Japan World collects information such as your Enter/Exit URL movements, Browser and Platform Detection and Referring/Current IP addresses. This information assists Japan World to develop statistical information which in turn will allow Japan World to continue to develop a more enjoyable website.

Advertising banners and links are displayed on Japan World's JPAL service that will take you to a third parties products and/or service. Japan World has no control over third party cookies and advises members to read the third party sites privacy policy to determine the information that they collect about you.
